Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a non-profit organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children. Over the past twenty-five years, the agency has grown to provide national intervention, education, and prevention programs. Due to the borderless nature of the Internet, incidents of child exploitation are not necessarily in the same jurisdiction as the reporting person. To satisfy the unmet needs for a centralized reporting system, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection built Cybertip.ca in 2002 to collect reports for online sexual exploitation of children within Canada. With MySQL as Cybertip.ca's relational database of choice, the Canadian Centre is in a better position to help protect children from potential harm.
